I wanted to make beautiful and functional knives that are more affordable, so I have partnered with my good friend Brent Stubblefield of Join or Die Knives to help me manufacture them. Many makers will send their designs and specs overseas to have them manufactured, but I am lucky enough to be able to send my designs across the shop floor to Brent, right here in Richmond, VA (RVA). The quality of these knives is extremely high, and the price can be kept down because Brent has people working for him that can do some of the more repetitive tasks of knifemaking, freeing us up to do the more precision work ourselves. That division of labor is a huge time saver for me and allows me to present these knives at a more reasonable cost. One of the best parts is that these knives are made by a small team, right here in the USA, giving people a living wage and helping our economy.
Why EDU?
Lots of makers sell Every Day Carry (EDC) knives, meaning the blade length is legal for open carry in most states (check your local knife laws, obvi.) Now, carrying a knife is cool, but actually using it every day is even cooler. That’s why I call this knife my Every Day Use (EDU) knife. I truly use a knife of this same pattern same style every day - from opening boxes to cutting steak.
